Date : 18 January 2009
Distance : 20km (Too chicken to take on 30km)
Time : 1:48:++ (Forgot to start my watch at start)
I'm beginning to realize that the satisfaction of running is dependent on how tough it is.
This is probably the longest and toughest so far, not to mention the most enjoyable.
There were a lot of people up to the 30km challenge and it definitely serves up some motivation to do it next year.
Towards the end of the race, I put on the turbo and did the last 2km in about 10min as I was feeling strong and though I could do more.
Boy, was I wrong! After finishing, I took my stuff and and picked up the tau foo fah. After a minute on my butt, I started feeling cramps coming on my calves.
Somehow, it does give me 2nd thoughts whether I should focus more on the endurance a little more to be in good shape for the KLIM in June.
Overall, great run, good time and it's always lovely having your wife around. Maybe next time, she'll be racing too.
